#03 Salad with avocados

I have already discussed on the positive effects from eating raw vegetagbles and how this would affect our health. Number thee salad will still have tomatoes and peppers in it - favourite veggies - with a little bit of fromage frais and seeds.

And basil of course, since it and tomatoes that's a match made in heaven!

The benefit of eating seeds is undisputed - have them raw to profit best of their goodness.
Add a little bit of fromage frais for proteins and fat and plenty of avocado strips for the best fats you can find.
Did you know that avocados one of the richest sources of l-carnitine? It helps you burn fat and make it into energy. The process requires a lot of water though.

A sprinkle of seeds, with sunflower, pumpkin, pine nuts and soybeans will add micro elements and minerals to your diet. Seeds are also source of essential fatty acids, as well as iron, zinc, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, copper,selenium, calcium and potassium (pumpkin, sunflower seeds). They are also packed with vitamins E and of the B group (sunflower seeds)


Serves 2:

4 tomatoes - cubed
Half avocado sliced
1 clove of garlic - mashed
1/4 red pepper in cubes
1/4 green pepper in cubes
a generous scoop of fromage frais (about 100 gr)
basil leaves
parsley leaves
a drizzle of walnut oil
a drizzle of balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, pine nuts and soy beans)
salt to taste

Method:

In A plate arrange the cubed tomatoes, peppers and garlic. Arrange the avocados. Sprinkle the basil and parsley leaves Toss with vinegar and walnut oil. Scoop the fromage frais and sprinkle with the seeds.
Enjoy this light and refreshing salad in the warm summer evenings!
