#08 Cucumber and Sesame Salad

Cucumber and Sesame Salad 2/2
Asian cuisine is very varied in tastes from the simple and naked taste of the Japanese cuisine through the spicy and pungent Chinese cuisine, to the fragrant and more subtle in taste Thai food. And so on though all of South East Asia.
That's why when it comes to Asian-style food, it needs to be described in more details to have a better idea about the taste.

This very refreshing, very simple and fast and easy to make salad is Japanese-inspired.
It uses only cucumber and sesame, the first rich in minerals with diuretic action, and the second rich in minerals and lignans with cholesterol-action.

Products:
serves 2
1 cucumber - peeled and julienned
2 tbsp sesame seeds - lightly toasted

marinade:
100 ml rice vinegar
50 ml mirin
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil

salt - to taste (I skipped salt this time, because the taste was rich even without it)

Method:

Place the cucumber pieces in two bowls and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
In a bowl mix the vinegar, mirin and sesame whisking well.
Distribute the dressing over the salad and serve.
